Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (ital. Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II) - one of the first in Europe passages. Milan shopping mall connects the square in front of the cathedral city with an area in front of La Scala Theatre.
Gallery bears the name of King Victor Emmanuel II. It was built by architect Giuseppe Mengoni in the 1865-1877 biennium. During construction Mengoni fell from the scaffolding and died.
